The GMC CCKW was also known as 'Jimmy' or the G-508 by its Ordnance Supply Catalog Number was a highly successful series of very capable 2 1/2 ton 6 x 6 trucks. Built in large numbers between 1941 and 1945 for the US Army the truck saw heavy service in both WWII and the Korean War. The original 'Deuce and a Half', it formed the backbone of the famed Red Ball Express that kept the Allied Armies supplied following the Normandy invasion.

The model we have here is ex-display (internal display only and always behind glass) with no fading to paintwork and remains in new condition.

The model which is no longer produced was originally released in limited number making it extremely rare..
