Hag was founded by Hugo and Alwin Gahler in St Gallen, Switzerland 1944.  Originally producers of O gauge model trains facing competition from Marklin they moved into HO manufacture some ten years later. Today they remain strong competitors producing quality diecast models for both both 2 and 3 rail  systems.
