DESCRIPTION:
The Dodge Truck was one of Lesneys most used castings first appearing in 1966 as a six wheel Stake Truck (No. 04D) and with only two axles as a Cattle Truck with solid sided back and drop down ramp (No. 37C). The six wheel version also appeared from 1968 as a Crane Truck (No. 63C) and with Superfast wheels (No. 63A) before appearing again in 1976 as a Cattle Truck (No. 71C).

Produced between 1976 and 1981 this version of the Cattle Truck can be found in many colour combinations. The truck itself was released in Bronze, Green, Yellow, and Red with differing shades of each colour. There are at least five shades of window and the back can be any shade of Yellow through to Brown and back to Beige. Equally the cattle can be Black or varying shades of Brown. Later models may have a tow hook (it was later released with a trailer) and can be found in a Farm Set.. 

This particular model is a lighter shade of Bronze with Green windows. The cattle are Black (still on sprue) and the back of the truck an Orangy/Yellow. The vehicle is in mint condition.

BOX:
The original box (Type K1) is also in excellent condition. Very minor scuffing good colour retention and shape. All end flaps are present. 

GAUGE / SCALE:
Known as 'Box Scale' (made to fit the box) Matchbox 1-75 and Superfast vehicles vary in scale and can be anything between 1:50 / 1:110

GRADE:
C12 - Mint

NB: Our grading system was obviously created for Die-cast models and is occasionally applied to others (plastic vehicles, locomotives, rolling stock, etc.) to help give an indication of an items condition or comparison against a new one of the same type. In these instances it can only be used to compare appearance and not operational suitability.
