DESCRIPTION:
Made in England by Lesney and produced between 1978 and 1982 the Steam Locomotive was produced in two colours Red and Green. There are colour shade differances to be found and also different coloured decals (yellow and white) and for the really enthusiastic collector there were two different dies from which the moulding was cast. The die moulding number can be found inside the roof of the cab, either No.1 or No.2.

This particular model, in Red with yellow decal was cast from mould No.2. Being removed from its box only ever for display purposes this model represents a superb collectors piece.

BOX:
The original box (Type L) is also in excellent condition, some very minor scuffing to corners but colour retention and firmness are good with all end flaps intact.

GAUGE / SCALE:
Known as 'Box Scale' (made to fit the box) Matchbox 1-75 and Superfast vehicles vary in scale and can be anything between 1:50 / 1:110

GRADE:
C12 - Mint

NB: Our grading system was obviously created for Die-cast models and is occasionally applied to others (plastic vehicles, locomotives, rolling stock, etc.) to help give an indication of an items condition or comparison against a new one of the same type. In these instances it can only be used to compare appearance and not operational suitability.
