Although detailing much of the activity from with the L.M.S. a large section of this book covers the L.M.S. contribution to the War Effort and the demands made on the company which were more than met by the machines and employees, all of whom were unsung heroes.

Published by Oxford in 1984 this pictorial record of company activities is in very good condition - the dust jacket evidences minor fading.
